Getting access to and searching within these magazines isn't easy. Online availiblity of these journals is limited, library collections tend to focus on academic journals, not on magazines.

EBSCO Academic Search Premier is a database containing both academic journals and magazines on all subjects. For instance Sight and Sound, Billboard, Film Comment, Rolling Stone.
